Built as part of Stair Mill in the 1840’s, Mill Cottage was where the miller lived and served as the village post office in the early 1900’s. Mill Cottage has been renovated, refurbished and decorated to create warm, comfortable holiday accommodation. The lounge and front facing bedrooms have fantastic views towards Catbells.

There is access to the gardens and a dedicated seating area, which provides a tranquil place for relaxing on a warm summer’s evening. There is a path through the woodland that takes you to the back gate and straight onto the fells.

A portable barbecue is available.

Parents of young children should be aware that part of the old mill pond still remains in the grounds and can reach a depth of around 10 inches.
