Set in the heart of the Lake District National Park, overlooking Catbells, Barrow, Causey Pike and Skiddaw, Stair Mill is in a rural location, yet only a short drive (4 miles) from the bustling town of Keswick.
A former corn mill, Stair Mill stands in 2 acres of garden and woodland, which makes an ideal location for those who are looking for a walking base with fells on the doorstep.
For those who wish to cycle or tour by car, Borrowdale, Buttermere and Derwentwater are close at hand. Secure, lockable cycle storage is available as is ample parking next to the cottages.

Stair Mill is situated in the hamlet of Stair, close to Causey Pike and the Newlands Pass road between Braithwaite and Buttermere.
From M6 Junction 40 take A66 past Keswick until you reach signpost on left for Grange and Newlands Valley. Turn left through Portinscale and follow signs to Stair. In Stair go past the Newlands Adventure Centre, continue over a hump back bridge and Stair Mill is the third house on the right with a millstone by the green gate.
